Dr. David Ballance
Dr. Ballance received his undergraduate degree from
Willamette University in Salem, Oregon and attended medical
school at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle.
After completing his residency in New York State,
Dr. Ballance returned home to Idaho with his wife Liz, to
raise their family and started practicing as an MD at
Family Health Care in 1998.
Dr. Jane Young
RN, MSN, CRNP, ND
Dr. Jane Young is the founder of Family Health Care.
Leading the way for Nurse Practitioners in Idaho and around
the country, she is proud to own an independent family practice
offering quality patient care.
In 2004, she was among the 1st to attain a Nursing
Doctorate from Case Western University. She has earned recognition
as a published author and researcher, and has lectured at
Boise State University.
Carmen Salyer received her Bachelors degree (Suma Cum Laude!) in Nursing right here at Boise State University, and earned her Masters in Nursing at Gonzaga University in Spokane.
She is a fourth generation healthcare provider and brings experience in preventative medicine, mental health, women’s health of all ages, encouraging them to accomplish their healthcare goals, and using evidence-based practices to solve problems, not symptoms.
Dorothy Mosher was born in Kellogg Idaho, and has lived in Lewiston, Wyoming, Maine, and recently moved back to Boise to be near family.
She brings two decades of experience in Family Medicine, and also has special interest in Geriatrics and Women's Health. Dorothy values all ages of patients, helping them improve their health, and learn healthy habits that will improve how they feel.
Kayla received her BSN from Boise State University, and was actually the first FNP cohort from Northwest Nazarene University.
Born and raised in Nampa, her "forever home", she empowers her patients to believe in themselves and assists them in achieving their absolute best. In addition to Family Medicine, Kayla has experience in Women's and Children's Health, and is a believer in holistic health options.
Brenda Shaw was born and raised in Idaho, and even completed her medical studies at Idaho State University in Pocatello.
She brings over 20 years of experience in Family Medicine, Women's Health, Internal Medicine, Mental Health and Emergency Care. Her beliefs include forming a good relationship with her patients and seeing then through their healthcare journey.
FNP-C, APRN, MSN
Brynn is originally from North Carolina and received her education at UNC and Simmons University. She spent much of her time in the past decade in pediactric care and women's health, but also enjoys Family Medicine and Emergency Care.
Brynn believes her sole purpose in healthcare is to assist and accompany patients on their journey to better physical and mental health, and enjoys forming these relationships with her patients.
Sandy received her Bachelor of Science from Boise State University, and has been involved in Family Practice her entire career.
Her favorite part of working in the healthcare field is establishing a connection with each of her patients. She wants to know them as individuals, and looks forward to connecting with them at subsequent appointments. For her, that is what makes family practice unique, knowing that her patients feel important and cared about.
