COVID Vaccine Now Available at our Boise office
Please call us to schedule your appointment to receive the Moderna COVID vaccine at our Boise location. The vaccination process will be two injections, the second will be scheduled 4 weeks after your initial appointment. You do NOT have to be a current patient with Family Health Care to receive the vaccine.

Family Health Care is now accepting new Medicare patients at both of our locations. If you have older friends that are having difficulty in finding a quality medical provider, please mention our clinic to them.
Covid Vaccine Status: Family Health Care is administering COVID vaccines NOW, please call our office to schedule your initial injection of the Moderna vaccine. While at our office, we'll schedule your second injection 4 weeks after your initial appointment. You do not need to be a current patient at Family Health Care to receive the vaccination.
Covid Protocols: At Family Health Care we are taking every precaution to be certain to protect your health. The offices are disinfected multiple times per day. Our amazing staff has been trained in triaging potential patients and when symptoms dictate, sending them to an outside facility for testing. We are striving to provide a safe environment for patients to come to and get their medical needs taken care of by caring professionals. Telehealth appointments are available for patients at risk.

Dr. David Ballance
MD
Dr. Ballance received his undergraduate degree from
Willamette University in Salem, Oregon and attended medical
school at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle.
After completing his residency in New York State,
Dr. Ballance returned home to Idaho with his wife Liz, to
raise their family and started practicing as an MD at
Family Health Care in 1998.
Dr. Jane Young
RN, MSN, CRNP, ND
Dr. Jane Young is the founder of Family Health Care.
Leading the way for Nurse Practitioners in Idaho and around
the country, she is proud to own an independent family practice
offering quality patient care.
In 2004, she was among the 1st to attain a Nursing
Doctorate from Case Western University. She has earned recognition
as a published author and researcher, and has lectured at
Boise State University.
Dorothy Mosher
FNP-C, MSN
Dorothy Mosher was born in Kellogg Idaho, and has lived in Lewiston, Wyoming, Maine, and recently moved back to Boise to be near family.
She brings two decades of experience in Family Medicine, and also has special interest in Geriatrics and Women's Health. Dorothy values all ages of patients, helping them improve their health, and learn healthy habits that will improve how they feel.
Carol Crisp
ND, NPC
Carol Crisp served in the Air Force for 20 years and focused on assuring our service members were healthy and ready to serve our country in any capacity. Additionally, she cared for family members of our service men and women, sometimes struggling with the unknowns of being part of the Air Force extended family.
Originally from Morehead Kentucky, Carol has lived all over the world and eventually in Mountain Home, and now after USAF retirement, Boise.
Brenda Shaw
PA, MPAS
Brenda Shaw was born and raised in Idaho, and even completed her medical studies at Idaho State University in Pocatello.
She brings over 20 years of experience in Family Medicine, Women's Health, Internal Medicine, Mental Health and Emergency Care. Her beliefs include forming a good relationship with her patients and seeing then through their healthcare journey.
Kassandra Spinnie
MSN, FNP-C
Kassandra was born in nearby Tacoma, then raised Chehalis Washington, but has lived in the Treasure Valley for the past 5 years.
She has extensive experience with family practice and pediatrics, and always tried to find ways for her patients to acheive a healthy lifestyle through her down-to-earth sensibilities and education from Northwest Nazarene University. Definitely ask her about her two loving cats, Cappuccino and Macchiato, who keep her company when she isn't tackling the outdoors paddleboarding, rock climbing, hiking, and enjoying coffeeshops or Disney movies.
Meghann Kalliokoski
MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Meghann is originally from Arizona where she earned her undergraduate degree from The University of Arizona, followed by her nursing degree at Grand Canyon University. After 10+ years of nursing experience, she earned her advanced nurse practitioner degree from Frontier Nursing University. She has extensive experience caring for patients across the lifespan, including premature infants, newborns, pediatrics, women’s health, adults, and geriatrics, and strives to provide compassionate care to the people and families in her community.
Meghann moved to the Treasure Valley with her husband and two sons in 2017. They enjoy Idaho’s outdoor activities such as camping, playing in the snow, and venturing around the beautiful gem state.
